I'm Laurie Shiers, a coach and writer dedicated to
helping creatives and entrepreneurs like you learn to align
your inner world with your outer one. To help you love and
trust yourself so you can create with purpose, passion,
Creatives work with me to uncover fresh insights and
possibilities, develop powerful habits and create meaningful
and lasting change. They count on me to see what they
can't, and tough-lovingly say what no one else would
dare say to them.
Last year, while writing my first novel, I found myself blocked
and began researching how other artists break through. In the
process, I literally created the Creative Block, a tool that artists, entrepreneurs and even students use to
get out of their own way. What most people don’t know about me is that much of my creativity comes
from a deep down sense I developed as a child of never feeling like I’m enough. I'm writing the book about
that one now. (For more of my story, check out my interview with VoyageLA)
Because I'm fascinated by human behavior and what makes us act the way we do, I earned my undergraduate degree in Human Development with an emphasis on social change from Pacific Oaks College. I'm a
Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) and graduate of the Co-Active Training Institute (formerly CTI),
one of the preeminent coaching organizations in the world. I'm also Professional Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation, the global governing body of coaching. For the past three years, I've served on
the leadership team for master coach, Rich Litvin, and his community.
There are three gifts that I bring to my clients:
My clients are super creative, but they can be unfocused and disorganized. They often have a mastery of language, but can get lost when sometimes the words become more important than what they actually represent. And while my clients are aware of their shadow side, they are sometimes hesitant to visit that neighborhood alone.
If you have creativity bursting out of you, get overwhelmed in the crazy mess, and want someone to hold up a lamp in the darkness, I’m the person you need by your side.
The best way to see if we are a match is to request a complimentary intro session, which can be done either on the phone, via Zoom, or in person if you are in Los Angeles. Please feel free to email me, or add yourself to my schedule and we'll get started.
I look forward to connecting with you!
